The PNG Kumuls 22 men train on squad began camp in Port Moresby under the watchful eyes of coaching director Mal Meninga.
It is part of the ‘Team Kumul’ program as the countdown to the 2013 Rugby League World Cup begins.
The team arrived on time at the Lloyd Robson oval with coaching director Mal Meninga. The session kicked off with a combination of experienced Kumul players and newcomers.
Sheer determination and on field discipline is what is required. A concept that was introduced in Camp 2 at Goroka is put forward to see how the players perform. The clock is ticking down for the World cup challenge and no doubt players are pushing for a spot in the final Kumul’s team.
Gurias fullback Albert Patak and Vipers half back Israel Eliab were sidelined for this training due to injury during Digicel cup matches however they will be part of the team as the camp continues.
